THE BMFPD AUXILIARY

Connecting the community with the fire department

The BMFPD Auxiliary is as old as the Department itself, providing a venue for supportive neighbors to volunteer time and talent on a non-emergency basis. Through its fundraising and community education events, the Auxiliary brings residents of the community closer to the fire department.

The floods of September 2013 caused us to postpone the fire safety sale until this spring. it's back, better than ever!

As always, residents can update fire extinguishers, CO detectors and smoke alarms, at below-retail prices, thanks to our friends at McGuckin Hardware

Everyone will have an opportunity to put out a LIVE FIRE under the supervision of a volunteer firefighter.

Thanks for a Record-breaking Boulder Mountain Handmade Sale

Boulder Mountain Handmade is a 40-year tradition in the fire district, offering works by district residents. As always, our best customers also come from the district, so the Auxiliary thanks its district volunteers, crafters AND customers for shattering all previous records for the sale. Thanks to the efforts of so many talented folks, the Auxiliary raised over $11,000 to support the Department AND raised significant donations to help our neighbor fire departments, Lefthand Volunteer FPD and Jamestown Volunteer FPD, which suffered huge losses in equipment during the September flood.

Garage Sale a Successful Fundraiser

Besides helping dozens of district residents de-clutter, the BMFPD Auxiliary's Garage Sale, held May 17-19, raised significant funds to support the Department. One family donated a Ford Explorer, successfully auctioned by Chief Benson. Net proceeds are estimated around $30,000.
